Today was a minor adventure to say the least. Any day that starts with you having to get out of bed before the sun is a day that seems to not end well. It somehow didn’t start off too badly to say the least, despite the ungodly early start.

It was extremely scaled back. We’ve honestly just been traveling from Lucknow to Agartala. So this one is probably going to be another one of those shorter posts because I’m just exhausted.

It was weird to see that we had lunch in an Irish pub-esque thing in the airport. Now I describe it as such because there was hardly any legitimate Irish beers to be consumed (although there was some Irish Coffee that I’m told was decent.) But the most important part? We’ve arrived in Agartala!

Now this is like the final leg of the trip before we have to head back to the States next week but I’m really excited to get to interact with the Holy Cross students here. I’m also super excited for the fact that this part of the country is severely less polluted and I honestly just spent a significant amount of time just looking up at the stars when we arrived. I’ve just gotten over my slight crankiness at the fact that all the guys get to be in individual rooms while the girls room together. Don’t get me wrong, I love these other girls like family, but I also believe in fair treatment for all. It’s whatever, I’ll get over it.

Although I am super thankful that I’ve been to the Philippines before because it seems like I’ll have to reunited with the Tabo system. For those of you who don’t know, it basically means that the only real form of bathing requires the use of buckets of water, no shower head or anything. (I’m just happy there’s hot water because cold baths this way were never any fun) I think it might really be shocking for some of them but I’ll take on the challenge of using the bath tomorrow after we meet the students and all.

For now, I think I’ll get back to looking at those stars again. Til next time!
